K-12 Education
Orange Unified School District

The Orange Unified School District (OUSD) celebrates learning through a personalized approach for each individual child. This commitment to excellence by all staff provides quality education for all students. OUSD serves approximately 30,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12th, and encompasses all or part of the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, Santa Ana and Villa Park. In 1953, the citizens of the area voted to form a unified school district, combining five elementary districts with the high school district into one unified district, now known as the Orange Unified School District. The District has a long history of excellence that continues to grow and be enriched by the accomplishments of its students, teachers, staff and community.
The award-winning district is composed of 26 elementary schools; five middle schools; a K-8 magnet school; four 9-12 comprehensive high schools and a continuation high school. Accompanying these facilities are several additional learning environments, including two schools for students with special needs, a Community Day School, a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) and a Home School and Independent Study program.
Since 1987, 23 OUSD schools have been awarded the honor of being named a California Distinguished School, with three of these schools receiving the award more than once. California Elementary received the Title I Academic Achievement Award for the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 school years.Tustin Unified School District
The Tustin Unified School District has built upon a long history of academic excellence and continues to dedicate itself to enhancing the academic and social lives of its student body. Currently, just over 22,000 students enroll in one of 27 district-operated schools, which include 18 elementary, five middle and four high schools. Additionally, Tustin Unified supplies alternative and adult education programs to students and the surrounding community.
Over the last few years, four of the district’s schools have earned National Blue Ribbon designation and several others have garnered Distinguished School awards from the California Department of Education. The district itself is award-winning, receiving such recent honors as the “What Parents Want” award from School Match.
