River Park, the pinnacle of recent real estate development within Oxnard, is designed with a mix of 2,600 residential units and approximately 900,000 square feet of commercial/retail currently being developed, as well as lakes, parks and jogging trails. Various projects are also currently under construction in the beautiful Channel Islands Harbor area. Oxnard’s forecasted 2011 median home price (all units) is estimated to be $264,000, up 6.1 percent from 2010. Oxnard has the strongest market in new home sales. Thirty-four percent of all Ventura County's 2009 new home sales occurred in Oxnard.
