Elementary

The City of Oxnard is served by four elementary school districts that provide students with excellent classrooms; teachers; and support teams comprised of psychologists, elementary school counselors, reading specialists, special education teachers and speech therapists.
The caliber of Oxnard’s schools compares favorably with that of suburban areas throughout the United States.
The Oxnard elementary school facilities are modern, student-teacher ratios are low, and budgets are sound.
High School
The Oxnard Union High School District (OUHSD) serves a diverse community that stretches from north Oxnard, east to the City of Camarillo and south to Point Mugu.

The District enrolls more than 16,000 students in six comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, and two alternative educational programs. OUHSD employs close to 700 teachers and has an annual operational budget of more than $100 million, making it a major contributor to the county’s economy.
The newest high school to the OUHSD is Pacifica High School, which features a contemporary library and technology resource center including a full-service culinary arts classroom, a 2,500-student capacity gymnasium, a 600-seat performing arts center, and an outdoor amphitheater.
Oxnard High School was established in 1901 and currently serves more than 3,000 culturally and socioeconomically diverse students. With a state-of-the-art replacement facility that opened in 1995, all permanent classrooms have Internet access. The facility also includes a career center, a performing arts theatre, a library media center and an Olympic-sized competition pool.
