Explore Palmdale’s rich aerospace history at the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark at Palmdale Plant 42. The 26-plus-acre Airpark allows patrons to view a growing collection of aircraft that has been tested, designed, produced, modified or flown at this locale in Palmdale. Look through the Airpark’s current displays which exhibit 14 retired military aircraft, a 1/8 scale model of the B-2 Spirit and a variety of aircraft elements. Being restored at this time are a B-52, C-46 and T-33, which will all be placed on static display soon.
Still interested in learning more? Take a trip over to the Aerospace Exploration Gallery at the Palmdale Institute of Technology. Operated by the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center in collaboration with the City of Palmdale and the AERO Institute, the gallery highlights NASA’s compelling past, present and future both in space and in this southern California region. Visitors can browse through several displays featuring such items as a reconditioned fuselage, an exhibit depicting the flight research activities in the Antelope Valley and plenty of visiting displays showcasing all different qualities of aerospace studies.
Spend a night on the town checking out a new movie at one of the city’s movie theaters or enjoy a live performance at the 350-seat Palmdale Playhouse. A part of the Palmdale community since 1994, the Palmdale Playhouse offers its guests a schedule packed with unrivaled entertainment ranging from theatrical performances and musical theatre to dance and comedy shows. The Playhouse also offers several annual events including the Cultural, Historical, Educational Drama Series, the Harvest Moon Festival, the One-Act Festival and the Shakespeare Festival.

Palmdale is home to a score of community events that span the calendar year. Take in live performances at the Starlight Concert Series during the summertime at the extensive Palmdale Amphitheatreer in Marie Kerr Park or the popular Palmdale Fall Festival held the second weekend in October.
