Retailers and restaurateurs are piling into Palmdale, adding to the already diverse array of stores and dining establishments that are located across the city. Antique shops, quaint boutiques, flea markets and department stores are fused with restaurants of all kinds.

Some of the newest retailers making their way into Palmdale include Trader Joe’s, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Wal-Mart Supercenter and Sam’s Club – to name a few. Next door to many of these new establishments are some of the area’s newest restaurants as well, which include Romi’s Fine Dining, Panera Bread, Jaco’s, Johnny Carino’s, Famous Dave’s and most recently BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery, On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina, and Souplantation.

And for those looking to purchase that new automobile, check out the Antelope Valley Auto Center, which is composed of six car dealers providing more than 10 different makes of vehicles. The newest business to move into the Auto Center is the Kawasaki and Polaris dealership, providing the best in motorcycle and watersport deals.

Palmdale is also home to the Antelope Valley Mall, anchored by Sears, Dillard’s, Mervyn’s, Gottschalks and JC Penney. Lining the mall’s walls are a variety of stores specializing in everything from apparel, shoes and jewelry to sporting goods, books and charming gifts. After perusing through Antelope Valley Mall’s great shops, make sure to stop at The Courtyard, which is filled with quick-fix delights such as the Great Steak & Potato Company, McDonald’s, Subway and Villa Pizza, or sit down at one of the delicious restaurants located within the mall.

Each year, more and more businesses are drawn into the Palmdale area, and the city is ready to respond. Several new retail and commercial centers are currently being developed while others have been approved for construction in the near future.
