The 453-bed acute care Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (www.pvhmc.org) is nationally recognized as a 100 Top Hospital and as a HealthGrades 2009 Outstanding Patient Experience award recipient. CASA COLINA CENTERS FOR REHABILITATION
Casa Colina Hospital (www.casacolina.org) is a fully licensed and accredited acute-care hospital that provides medical rehabilitation services. The hospital has special facilities for physical restoration — such as a therapeutic swimming pool, rehabilitation gym, adapted fitness center and state-of-the-art therapy equipment. With specialized caregivers and support staff, Casa Colina serves children and adults who have been disabled by injuries, chronic disorders and illnesses. The hospital also has a sub-acute rehabilitation unit and outpatient clinics, and provides case management and patient/family support services.

WESTERN UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES
Founded in 1977, Western University of Health Sciences is a nonprofit graduate university for health professions. The university’s campus includes nine major buildings on 22 acres in downtown Pomona, and a $100-million campus expansion currently underway will add four more major structures — a Health Education Center, Patient Care Center, Veterinary Pathology Center and six-story parking garage — by January 2010. Western University is one of the largest graduate schools for health professions in California. Alumni rank among the very top leaders in healthcare and medicine through the world.
