HIKING & EQUESTRIAN TRAILS
Bighorn Overlook Trail
(moderate to steep)
This trail is accessed from the upper parking lot behind City Hall. Less than one mile in length with several switchbacks, the trail leads to an area with a picnic shelter and an incredible panoramic view. It’s a great place to take in all of the valley’s fireworks on the 4th of July.

Butler-Abrams Trail
The trailhead is located at Michael S. Wolfson Park and provides opportunities for hiking, biking and horseback riding.

Clancy Lane Trail
This trail (open to horseback riders) begins on Clancy Lane between Rancho Manana and the Monterey Gate. As a developed trail, it continues under Bob Hope Drive down into and crossing the Whitewater Wash to Whitewater Park, following the edge of the wash.

Trail & Park Guide
A guide to trails and parks in the area is available by calling (760) 324-4511. Additional information on trails is also available at the Bureau of Land Management Santa Rosa Mountains
Visitor Center. (760) 862-9084
