Rancho Mirage Elementary School is a public school operated by the Palm Springs Unified School District. The 40-year-old school was recently remodeled. In the summer of 2001, five portable classrooms were replaced by a two-story six-classroom building. In the summer of 2004, three more portable classrooms were removed and replaced with another two-story building. The primary playground was renovated in 2002, and the kindergarten playground was renovated in the summer of 2003. The computer lab was completely outfitted with new computers, printers, and networking in 2004-2005.
