For more than 100 years, the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce has been a vital component in the development of Riverside and the region. Riverside is a very progressive, forward-looking community that still honors and celebrates its rich history. Chartered in 1883 and chosen as the County Seat for Riverside County, today, in many ways, Riverside is the leading city of the Inland Empire. In the past year, statewide and national publications have recognized the attractiveness of life and business in the area. Partners for Livable Communities have honored Riverside as one of America’s Most Livable Communities. The city was selected, due to the major strides, to prepare itself for the new global economy and as a result, it is among the nation’s top destinations for travel, business investment, relocation, learning, retiring, and living. As a Chamber, we focus on core competencies that meet our mission on building a stronger local economy.

Creating a stronger local economy: The Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce is dedicated to helping local companies grow their business by taking the lead in programs and efforts that help create a stronger local economy and make our community a great place to do business.

Promoting the Community: We take the lead in promoting the community by helping to recruit new business to locate here, participating in efforts to improve our quality of life and by advocating our community as a great place to live, work and do business.

Providing Networking Opportunities: The networking opportunities provided by the Chamber has provided an opportunity for members to sell their products and services to their peers and benefit from ideas and savings that have enhanced their bottom line. Many of our members boast increased business due to opportunities they make for themselves through their Chamber involvement.

Representing the Interests of Business with Government: The Chamber is the voice of the business community. We are focused on public policy and legislative action that supports the voice of business. The Chamber works hard to create results in key areas to work toward an economic and political climate that allows business to grow.

Taking Political Action: We take stands on issues that affect business. The Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce believes that an informed electorate is a critical component of a viable democracy. It is our duty to keep the business community informed about the candidates and issues affecting our city. From letter writing campaigns to candidate forums, the Chamber is active and effective.

As a member driven organization, the Chamber works daily to provide programs, products, services, advocacy and events that are designed to give our members return on investment.
