With several local parks and nearly endless outdoor activities available throughout the area, there is no excuse to not take advantage of Rosemead’s spectacular climate.

Whittier Narrows Dam Recreation Area, just south of Rosemead, offers ample opportunities for fishing, hiking and picnicking. It includes a nature center, an equestrian facility, trails, a multipurpose athletic complex, a military museum, soccer fields, volleyball courts, as well as archery, skeet, pistol and trap ranges. Whittier Narrows Golf Course is a must-play for both the novice and seasoned golfer. The 18-hole Par 72 course features undulating greens and large trees, with amenities such as a pro shop, equipment and cart rental, lessons, lighted driving range, practice putting greens, practice chipping green, banquet facility, coffee shop, patio and clubhouse cocktail area.

The city maintains six local parks, two municipal swimming pools, a rubberized walking and exercise trail and several tennis courts and baseball diamonds.
