

There’s always something to do in Rosemead! Throughout the year, annual events and festivals are planned to celebrate local culture as well as holidays and heritage.
Today the Rosemead Public Library has a collection of more than 196,615 materials including 140,815 books, 55 magazine and newspaper subscriptions, 10,297 DVDs and videotapes, and 3,989 CDs and audio books. The library has California telephone directories and collections of materials in Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese languages. There is a Homework Help Center for elementary school students and Family Place for infants, toddlers and their parents. Computers are also available to the public offering Internet access and the library provides access to many databases available through the County of Los Angeles Public Library. A variety of children, teen and adult programs and events are also available throughout the year.
In neighboring Pasadena, the Norton Simon Museum showcases a vast collection of Western and Asian art that spans a period of more than 2,000 years. European and American pieces include paintings, sculptures and photography. The museum offers special exhibitions, tours, lectures and a variety of education programs.
For more local fun, residents can visit area movie theatres, lively restaurants and bars and any number of other recreational facilities.
