Quality education is a priority in Rosemead. With three school districts and a number of continuing education facilities and colleges in the area, Rosemead meets the education needs of all learners.

Garvey School District is the second oldest elementary school district in Los Angeles County. Comprised of 11 schools, nine of which are elementary schools (K-6) and two are intermediate schools (Grades 7-8), Garvey serves approximately 6,079 students.

Rosemead School District maintains four elementary schools and one intermediate school (7-8 grade). The Rosemead School District provides a challenging academic learning environment that encourages lifelong learning in partnership with parents and the community. Rosemead School District serves 2,955 students.

High school students attend Rosemead High School in the El Monte Union High School District. Rosemead High School emphasizes student-centered learning in a technology-rich environment. The campus has 80 classrooms and a full-time staff of 197 who provide support for approximately 1,900 students.

Continuing education and vocational training is available through El Monte-Rosemead Adult School. Classes range from business and computer education to career training. Occupational certificates are offered.

University of the West (formerly known as Hsi Lai University) is a private, nonprofit, non-sectarian, coeducational university that offers accredited undergraduate, graduate, certificate and continuing education programs. Its programs are based on Buddhist teachings and values, and strive to facilitate cultural understanding and appreciation between East and West.
