For
over a century, South Pasadenas public schools have enjoyed a stellar
reputation. Families move to South Pasadena to take advantage of a renowned
teaching staff, small class sizes in kindergarten through third grade,
and an emphasis on standards in the curriculum at every grade level.
Students benefit from
the environment of the South Pasadena public schools and the close community
that develops when students remain together for their elementary and high
school career.
The district is nearing
completion of a $20 million modernization of the art deco-style South
Pasadena High School campus, and is also putting the finishing touches
on similar modernization efforts at its three elementary schools. Both
district and standardized test scores rank South Pasadena schools among
the 10 ten percent in the state.
The community provides
support for the educational system, public and private, in many ways.
South Pasadenas children grow up in an environment where education
is top priority.
