 The
South Pasadena Record, which eventually became the South Pasadena Review,
reported in 1909 that "Five religious denominations are at present
represented in South Pasadena and all are highly influential in guarding
the moral tone of the city."
The Union Sunday School,
organized in 1885, was the forerunner of the Methodist Church in South
Pasadena. Today 13 houses of worship call South Pasadena home, affording
people of virtually every belief an opportunity to worship as they choose.
