
Temple City – A wonderful place to live known as the “Home of Camellias,” Temple City is located in the western end of the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, about 14 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. Temple City features a diverse community, known for its excellent school system, well-run government and a crime rate better than the suburban average. With a population of approximately 35,000 people, Temple City offers residents exceptional homes, year-round parks and recreation, and
abundant youth activities.
The city is currently in the process of undergoing an impressive transformation from being primarily a bedroom community to a vibrant residential city featuring new nationally known restaurants and businesses. At the direction of the City Council, Temple City is now beginning to realize many of those goals by enhancing the shopping opportunities in town while maintaining the excellent quality of life city residents enjoy in Temple City.
Temple City is well known for its annual Temple City Camellia Festival, complete with a parade, floats, and carnival. Other popular events in town include: the summer concert series in Temple City Park, the Easter Egg Hunt and Public Safety Fair at Live Oak Park in April, the Harvest Hoedown and Craft Faire in October, and the Lights on Temple City parade in December.
