

Located in southeastern California’s Los Angeles County, Temple City is situated in the western portion of the San Gabriel Valley along with the towns of Arcadia, Rosemead, Monterey Park, San Marino and San Gabriel. The city sits at an elevation of 400 feet and has a total area of 4.01 square miles. Being 14 miles northeast of Los Angeles, Temple City has easy access to U.S. Interstates 10, 210 and 605 and the famous California Route 66.
Public transit services are provided and maintained by the Temple City Parks & Recreation Department. Dial-A-Ride is a low-cost service available for people aged 60 and better and for those with disabilities.

It provides rides for any purpose throughout Temple City and to Arcadia, El Monte, Rosemead, San Gabriel, Westfield Santa Anita Shopping Mall, government facilities, churches, adult day centers and convalescent homes. The MTA (Los Angeles County Metro Transit Authority) has bus and rail lines that transport riders almost anywhere throughout the county, and passes and tokens are available at reduced rates for residents of Temple City.
