Dance & Music in the Heart of Temple City

Shin Dance Academy/Temple City Dance & Music is becoming a serious expression of positive energy. Shin Dance opened its doors in November 2001 in the heart of Temple City, located at 9621 Las Tunas Drive. During the early days, it was all Chinese classical and folk dance. Everything was word of mouth... performances… and having a reputation for being Southern California’s best in Chinese dance. Three years later resulted in Shin’s young dancers eventually moving on to universities, making room for the next generation of students to explore Chinese dance.
That brings us to what has happened in the last eight months. Shin Dance Academy has remodeled its studios, added three new music studios, switched to an automated tuition system and has taken advantage of what websites can offer today. Of course a successful education center wouldn’t be complete without the wide array of classes it can offer. Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Modern, Yoga, Pilates and a phenomenon workout called “Zumba,” a Latin beat aerobics that won’t quit. Class cards will be offered for all recreational classes so that it meets everyone’s schedule.

A Pre-Registration began May 1st, which gave new students opportunity to enroll in a 10-month academic program starting September 2008 that will go through the end of June 2009. There will be discount payment options or simply class-to-class recreational class cards as mentioned earlier. Now there is an Online Registration for new students’ convenience at: www.ShinDance.com.
As for the music department. ‘Shin Dance Academy/Temple City Dance & Music’ will offer classes in piano, guitar, cello, violin, zither, flute, voice and more. Most classes will be private sessions and/or group. More details will unfold as the school unleashes this new department.
Shin Dance Academy/Temple City Dance & Music believes that it will become an icon of Temple City. It’s just of question of time!
