Shopping and Dining

DINING

The I-205 corridor is one of the area’s best sources for shopping and dining. Hundreds of businesses, including small, locally owned ventures and large, nationally known chains line this extensive thoroughfare, offering residents and visitors a wide variety of places to shop and eat. Found along this retail corridor are major retail and dining centers at West Valley Mall, the Auto Mall, the Tracy Pavilions, Valley Shopping Center and the Tracy Outlets.

Tracy’s downtown district is another popular place for shoppers and diners. Nestled in the heart of this growing city, downtown Tracy is an enhanced pedestrian-friendly area home to an assortment of shops and eateries, along with entertainment and cultural venues and a number of communitywide events. Among the many events hosted downtown are the weekly Farmers’ Market, the Tracy Dry Bean Festival and a year-round schedule of performances at the Grand Theatre.

The shops of the I-205 corridor, downtown Tracy and other parts of the community are accompanied by a large selection of restaurants. Casual eateries, fine dining establishments, delis, cafes, buffets and fast-food restaurants are all available, serving up an eclectic range of menus. Diners take in national favorites, such as pizza, burgers and BBQ, while also enjoying ethnic influences at restaurants featuring Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai and popular California cuisine.

The Tracy Chamber of Commerce’s interactive, online business directory is a useful resource for those looking for preferred retailers and restaurants. Visit the directory at www.tracychamber.org.
