Tracy’s healthcare community continues to expand alongside its growing community, offering a wide scope of advanced services and programs. Anchoring the physicians, specialists and clinics of the community is Sutter Tracy Community Hospital (STCH), the area’s sole full-service, acute-care health center.
The not-for-profit, fully accredited hospital has been a part of the region for more than 60 years. Patients have convenient access to a full range of patient and community services through STCH, which features 82 licensed patient beds, an enlarged emergency department and Family Birth Center, as well as a modern, 10,000-square-foot Outpatient Surgery Center and high-tech Diagnostic Imaging Center. Off campus, the Healthy Connections Resource Center in downtown Tracy supplies a host of health education programs, health information, referral services and a number of social and family support services—most of which are free.
STCH was named as the Tracy Chamber of Commerce’s Organization of the Year in January 2010 and received a “Certificate of Excellence” from the California Hospital Assessment & Reporting Task Force in March 2010. The hospital was among eight hospitals in the Sutter Health Network and only 40 across the state to be presented with this award.
