The Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority (TCEDA) promotes the County of Tuolumne, including the City of Sonora, as a dynamic business location and provides your business with essential information needed when locating or expanding your business in the Sierra Mountain Region of California.

Our mission is to facilitate a local economy that is innovative, resilient and diverse, by assisting in business formation, developing a skilled workforce, supporting local businesses and attracting innovative companies to Tuolumne County.

Our Goals

• Assist in retaining and expanding existing businesses in Tuolumne County.

• Recruit new and assist existing local businesses in filling gaps within our economy. Reduce Tuolumne County’s leakage to surrounding counties.

• Attract new family wage jobs to the county by identifying and actively recruiting specific industries that help diversify the local economy.

• Focus and initiate programs that support and encourage workforce development.

The Tuolumne County Economic Development, in partnership with Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Development Center (Alliance SBDC) and the Tuolumne County SCORE Chapter 596, have partnered to form the Business Alliance of Tuolumne County to assist small business owners, startup businesses and entrepreneurs with free one-on-one business counseling. Free services include assistance in writing business and marketing plans, producing budgets and cash flow projections, website and technology training and financial assistance.
