Transportation
Known as the heart of California’s Central Valley, Turlock is centered among California’s most popular tourism destinations with access to San Francisco, Yosemite Park, Monterey Bay as well as Turlock’s many cultural activities attract thousands of visitors each year. Turlock is adjacent to major highways and interstates including Highway 99 and Interstate 5, which is located just 15 miles west of Turlock.
Rail
Turlock is directly served by Burlington Northern & Santa Fe and the Union Pacific rail systems.
Air
The Modesto City-County Airport offers daily air service, with flights connecting to the San Francisco Bay Area. Local charter service is available through Sky Trek Aviation and the Modesto Flight Center. San Francisco International Airport, San José International, Oakland International and Sacramento International Airports are about 100 miles from Turlock.
Water
The port of Stockton is 45 miles north and provides a deep-water port with direct access to the Pacific Ocean. The port of Oakland is approximately 90 minutes to the west.
