Emanuel Medical Center
Emanuel Medical Center today is a 415-bed multi-level medical campus including a 221-bed acute care hospital, a 145-bed skilled nursing facility and a 49-bed assisted living facility. Our medical center is owned and operated by the Evangelical Covenant Church, which founded the hospital in 1917.

Our broad range of services include Emergency, Critical Care, Imaging, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Pediatric, Medical, Surgical, Birthing Center, Neonatal Intensive Care, Women’s Health, Cardiology, Laboratory, Hospice, Home Health, Community Education and Spiritual Support. Major services include:

Birthing
Wide ranges of birthing choices are available to you at the new Mary Stuart Rogers Birthing Center, including labor, delivery and recovery rooms (LDRs) and postpartum rooms that provide a beautiful home-like atmosphere for new mothers and their families. The Level II neonatal intensive care unit allows low birth-weight babies or babies born with certain medical complications to be cared for with the highest level of medical expertise available.

Cancer Treatment
Each year Emanuel treats hundreds of local individuals with cancer. The new Emanuel Medical Plaza located at 880 E. Tuolumne Road features the new Stanford Emanuel Radiation Oncology Center that is a partnership with Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Stanford University School of Medicine and Emanuel Medical Center. The facility also includes the medical oncologists of California Oncology of Turlock and general surgeons of Oasis Surgical.

Community Health Education
These programs are a fun and creative way to encourage better health in our community. Classes in nutrition, parenting skills, first aid, CPR and special education events are a few of the popular offerings. These programs are offered at Emanuel to patients, physicians and the community.

Critical Care
Intensive Care, Coronary Care and Respiratory Care Units provide complete patient care for the critically ill. The team of physicians, nurses and clinical support staff in our Critical Care Units are prepared for minute-by-minute patient monitoring during serious illnesses and injury treatment. The new $30 million Emanuel Critical Care Center opened in January 2007 and provides all individual private patient rooms.

Elderly/Convalescent Care

This is a 145-bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by Emanuel Medical Center. Brandel Manor offers professional and compassionate 24-hour care in a welcoming and secure environment.

Cypress of Emanuel

Specially designed as a 49-bed assisted living facility for those who need additional assistance with daily activities. Cypress of Emanuel provides a family-like atmosphere that includes a lovely courtyard, dining room, gym and a number of other amenities.

Emergency Services
Major and minor emergency care is available 24 hours, every day of the year. Emanuel is the only emergency care provider in the area with the back-up capabilities of an acute care medical center.

Heart
Emanuel offers a multitude of cardiovascular diagnostic tests, procedures and Cardiac Rehabilitation services.

Home Care Services
This service provides nursing, nutritional counseling, social services, home health aides, speech and respiratory therapy in the home.

Hospice
Hospice of Emanuel provides a range of services to support and care for persons in the last phases of an incurable disease.

Imaging Services
Emanuel and Turlock Imaging Services offer Computed Tomography (CT) scanning and open Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and Angiography providing patients with state-of-the-art services. Turlock Imaging Services opened a new outpatient imaging center at Christoffersen Parkway and Geer Road that provides a new high-field MRI unit, a multi-slice CT Scanner, two digital radiographic-fluoroscopic units and two ultrasound rooms.

Medical Nutrition Therapy
Upon referral by a physician, a registered dietitian can provide individualized nutrition assessment and recommendations regarding medical nutrition therapy.

Parent Education
To help you prepare for parenthood, Emanuel offers a comprehensive array of classes that include information regarding childbirth and infant and child development.

Pastoral Care
The Department of Pastoral Care provides spiritual and emotional support for patients, families and staff.

Pediatrics
We recognize the special needs of children and offer hospital tours prior to being admitted.

Physical Rehabilitation
Physical, Speech and Occupational services are available and include therapeutic treatment for lymphedema and injury prevention at Emanuel Rehabilitation Center.

Respiratory Therapy
Emanuel offers programs for people suffering from emphysema, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis and asthma.

Surgery Services
Emanuel facilities provide one of the most comprehensive arrays of Inpatient and Outpatient surgical services that include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gastoenterology, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics / Gynecology and Pediatric procedures.

Volunteer Services and Hospice of Emanuel are always looking for caring and energetic volunteers to support patients, families and our community.

Women’s Imaging Center
The Ruby E. Bergman Women’s Center of Emanuel offers the latest Mammography, Ultrasound and Bone Density Testing at the center.
