From the President/CEO
Welcome to Turlock, the second-largest community in Stanislaus County, located in the “Heart of the Valley.” Since 1949, when the Turlock Chamber of Commerce was first chartered, its members have worked to improve the vitality and quality of life in the greater Turlock area. Over the past 62 years Turlock has grown to over 70,000 residents, and still retains its small-town charm and diverse agricultural heritage and hospitality, all the while conforming to the ever-changing dynamics of the area.
This past year was a significant year for business development; several ‘new businesses’ are making their home here while others are expanding. The Turlock community is pleased to see the development in all areas of business, from retail to production.
The Turlock Chamber of Commerce has had an outstanding year, and has received wonderful recognition for the effort of its board, staff, volunteers and partners. It has taken an active role in ensuring that growth and economic stability continues in a positive manner. The goal is continually being realized through teamwork with community leaders, through the support of area businesses and through the hard work of volunteers.
Turlock is proud to be the home of MedicAlert and California State University Stanislaus, as well as the Stanislaus County Fair Grounds. Recreation abounds in Turlock with more than 14 soccer fields, three volleyball courts, four softball fields and one Hardball Field, and you can visit Turlock Lake just a few miles out of town. Turlock is proud to be considered a family oriented community.
As the voice of business in Turlock, the Chamber’s goal is to advocate for our members’ best interests and for those of our community. Being Turlock’s number one business resource, citizens look to the Chamber for the area's economic well-being. That is why we seek to have a major impact on business, the creation of wealth and future growth of the Greater Turlock Area.
