The three-theater Lesher Center for the Arts hosts more than 500 live performances annually and attracts large evening crowds, adding vitality to the downtown area.
- Across from Escuela Shopping Center, there is a 14-screen movie theater with more than 600 parking spaces, making for a robust and exciting downtown.
- A large array of unique artwork is on public display throughout the downtown area.
Historians are intrigued by the Shadelands Ranch Historical Museum, built by Hiram Penniman in 1903 and home to historical artifacts, newspapers, photographs and government records.
A special glimpse of turn-of-the-century farming can be seen at the Old Borges Ranch.
More than 100 live animals are displayed along with a pet library and a series of safari/wildlife programs at the interactive Lindsay Wildlife Museum.
