Situated between the city of Beverly Hills to the west and the city of Los Angeles to the north, south and east, West Hollywood’s ideal location has placed it in close proximity to an array of significant amenities. Covering only 1.9 square miles, the Southern California community is packed with eclectic shops, cultural spots and more than 200 restaurants.
A daytime shuttle, traveling along Santa Monica Boulevard and to and from the Beverly Center/Cedars-Sinai area, is provided to residents and visitors by the City of West Hollywood. Bus service through the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) offers routes throughout the area and its surrounding cities and Metro Rail stations. Bus/Rail passes, tokens, maps and schedules are available for purchase at the Chamber of Commerce Transit Store.
PARKING GOOD FOR BUSINESS!
Who likes searching for change each time they want to park in West Hollywood? The Cash Key, a pre-paid parking system in West Hollywood, has become the solution. Designed for use in West Hollywood parking meters, the Cash Key is most comparable to a debit card that is programmed with the time you choose to purchase.
Cash Key accounts are established at values between $10 and $100, in increments of $10. A $10 deposit is charged in addition to the value of the key. Once the Cash Key is fully inserted into the meter, $0.25 is deducted from the value of the Key, and the corresponding time will be displayed on the meter. The meter will not register time beyond the posted time limit. When the amount programmed on the Cash Key is exhausted, additional time may be purchased on the same Key, or it may be returned with the $10 deposit returned. Keys may be purchased at the West Hollywood City Hall.
The installation of modern multi-space parking meters on Sunset Boulevard at Sunset Plaza west of La Cienega Boulevard has been quite a success for the City of West Hollywood. Street parking in front of establishments such as Nicole Miller, Chin-Chin, Armani Exchange, Traffic, Huge Boss, Dolce and Gabana and Mel’s Diner now use state-of-the-art parking meters that will now accept credit and ATM credits, in addition to coins. And to save yourself a parking ticket, you can register your cell phone online to receive a page when your parking meter time is running out, a truly innovative design.
