Buena Vista Recreation
Buena Vista has many outdoor activities that are available in the area. There are more than ten 14,000-foot peaks near Buena Vista offering camping and hiking. Fishing is popular all year round including fly-fishing on the river, fishing the high mountain lakes and ice fishing in the winter. Fourwheeling and snowmobiling are popular as well. City parks include playground equipment, tennis courts, a baseball field, basketball courts, a soccer field, a skate park and a volleyball court. The golf course is a 9-hole course with beautiful views of the mountains. There are many clubs and organizations that offer social interaction.
