Delta is a recreational mecca, with easy access to nation forest, and national park, state parks and recreational areas, lakes, streams, mountains and canyons. The city has seven municipal parks, Devil's Thumb, a nationally rated golf course, miniature golf, seasonal auto racing, a bowling alley, and a trap-shooting club. Bill Heddles Recreation Center, which is regionally recognized, features a swimming pool, tot pool, therapy pool, a sauna, handball/racquetball court, basketball court and expanded weight room. Aerobics, cycling and aquatics fitness classes are offered throughout the day, six days a week.
