Delta County Joint School District 50 encompasses 15 elementary, middle and high schools, as well as a vocational-technical center. The educational system of the district is very innovative offering early childhood programs, daily full-day kindergarten, academy programs, and technology labs taking students beyond the traditional classroom into a world of integraded hands-on learning. graphic

Post secondary/secondary classes offered at the vocation-technical center include: health occupations agricultural/industrial mechanics, law enforcement, cosmetology, drafting/auto CSD, business office administration, testing and assessment, and GED preparation. The Small Business Development Center is housed with the vocational center and offers counseling and classes. Institutions of higher learning are an easy drive. Mesas State College has its primary campus in Grand Junction, and an off-site campus in Montrose, Colorado Christian University is also located in Grand Junction.
