The Eagle County School District RE-50J serves Eagle Valley students with eight elementary schools, four middle schools, two high schools, one alternative high school and one charter school.
Eagle Valley Elementary is located in the heart of Eagle, and Brush Creek Elementary (in Eagle Ranch) accommodates many of the children south of town. Gypsum Elementary (off Highway 6) and Red Hill Elementary are located in Gypsum. The Roaring Fork School District serves Eagle County students in the communities of Basalt and El Jebel.
A number of private education institutions, preschools and a Head Start program are also available in Eagle County. Higher education opportunities include classes through Colorado Mountain College, which has branches in Eagle, Vail and Glenwood Springs.
