Evans is located at the intersection of two major routes: U.S. 85 and U.S. 34. Seven large cities are within a 60-mile radius: Greeley, Longmont, Loveland, Ft. Collins, Cheyenne, Boulder, & Denver. Weld County covers an area of 4,002 square miles in north central Colorado - more space than Rhode Island, Delaware and Washington, D.C. combined. It is bordered on the north by Wyoming and Nebraska, and on the south by the Denver metropolitan area. It is the third largest county in the state. The basic land surface consists of level terrain to the east with low hills in the west. The City of Evans covers 3.6-square miles, with an elevation at 4651 feet. We are within 25 miles of the Rocky Mountains.
