The town is situated at the confluence of Muddy Creek and the Blue and Colorado Rivers and has quick accessibility to the major roadways of State Highways 40 and 9, along with Interstate 70, which lies 38 miles south. Both visitors and residents utilize Kremmling’s full-service airport, McElroy Air Field, which is located on the east end of town and offers a 5,500-foot x 75-foot lighted runway. Less than 50 miles from the area, air travelers can access the Eagle County Regional Airport, providing service to a number of major U.S. cities.
