It is no wonder Kremmling has been dubbed a “Sportsman’s Paradise.”

Kremmling offers outdoor enthusiasts nearly everything from hiking, biking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hunting and camping in the warmer months.

And for the winter months, visitors and residents can choose from recreational opportunities including skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and snowshoeing.

No matter the season or the activity, Kremmling is an ideal year-round recreational destination.

Around 200,000 acres of national forest lands encompass Kremmling, with three national forests — The Routt, Arapaho/Roosevelt and White River — situated around the area as well.

One-hundred and fifty-six miles of trails are available for hikers, bikers and equestrians, with nine routes designated for mountain biking. Nearby Williams Fork Valley, Gore Range, Green Mountain Reservoir and Wolford Mountain Reservoir afford developed campgrounds for those who enjoy sleeping under the stars.

Muddy Creek and the Blue and Colorado Rivers provide great spots for fishing, canoeing, whitewater rafting, boating and other water sports, while a multitude of nearby mountains beckon skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.

Within one hour visitors can access Latigo Ranch (17 miles), Silver Creek (31 miles), Snow Mountain Ranch (37 miles), Devil’s Thumb Ranch (41 miles), Keystone (46 miles), Copper Mountain (48 miles), A-Basin (49 miles), Loveland (49 miles), Winter Park/Mary Jane (49 miles) and Steamboat Springs (53 miles).

The gorgeous mountains of Vail can be reached within 70 miles.
