The Thompson R2-J School District
Thompson School District serves more than 14,000 students at 18 elementary schools, five middle schools, and five high schools. The district is a leader in the area of modernizing curriculum, redesigning testing and aligning both with state academic standards.
The mission of the district is: “In partnership with the community, the Thompson schools will educate all students to assume their current and future responsibilities as individuals and citizens and members of the workforce.”
The District is guided by a vision to reach all students. Through its strategic plan, the district is driven by the components of four major goals guided by a set of underlying principles aimed at reaching the whole child. The goals cover the basic skills of reading, writing and math; critical thinking and creativity; safety and belonging; and school to life.

Aims Community College has a campus in downtown Loveland at 104 East 4th Street.
