Pueblo County School District 70 is the largest geographical school district in Colorado, and is committed to fostering a safe and trusting environment of lifelong learning.
In Pueblo West and its surrounding areas, one can choose from several options for secondary education. Pueblo Community College is located in nearby Pueblo, and is a public, non-denominational, co-educational, two-year institution, offering Certificates of Completion (CERT), Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of General Studies (AGS), and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees.
Colorado State University-Pueblo is a comprehensive state university with an enrollment of more than 4,000 students, including nearly 200 international students. Fully accredited and part of the Colorado State University System, CSU-Pueblo provides relevant professional coursework, superior instruction with a small professor-to-student ratio, and state-of-the-art technology for an ever-changing global economy. Students can choose from twenty-seven undergraduate programs in the College of Science and Mathematics, the Hasan School of Business, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the College of Education, Engineering and Professional Studies.
IntelliTec College in Pueblo is part of a network of accredited schools and offers programs in administrative assistance, medical assistance, and massage therapy. Instruction focuses on meeting realistic career requirements and successful job placement.
The Pueblo City-County Library District serves Pueblo West and surrounding areas, with a mission to inform, educate and culturally enrich the community. Pueblo West is served locally by the White Branch Library, which offers materials, services and online resources for educational purposes, as well as hobbies, clubs and events for all ages and interests. The Branch is currently scheduled for an expansion of nearly five times its current size.
