This 25-bed critical access facility is recognized as the healthcare provider of choice for Trinidad and the surrounding areas and as a model for rural healthcare and wellness in partnership with our communities.

Elderly residents requiring assistance have the option of assisted living facilities, as well as the first-rate Trinidad State Nursing Home. This 158-bed facility is dedicated to providing seniors with assistance in all their needs and challenges. The Trinidad State Nursing Home is licensed by the Colorado Department of Public Health and certified by Medicaid. Since the nursing home isn’t a state veterans’ home, residency is open to all Colorado seniors.

In addition to the nursing home and hospital, Trinidad has a thriving community of private practitioners including dentists, chiropractors, physical therapists, eyecare doctors and many more specialists.
