Entertainment & Culture
Maybe it’s the inspiring Rocky Mountain surroundings or the diverse blend of community members, but without a doubt, the Vail Valley comes alive with vibrant cultural and entertainment attractions. There is something new to see and do every month — from lively festivals to seasonal sports events to music and theatrical performances. Places such as the Vilar Center in Beaver Creek and the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail regularly hold performances from nationally renowned artists and musical groups.
Events such as the Vail International Dance Festival, BRAVO Vail Valley Music Festival, Jazz Festival, the American Ski Classic and the summer and winter free concert series enrich the culture of the Vail Valley. The Foundation is also responsible for bringing major international events to the Vail Valley, including the 1989 and 1999 World Alpine Ski Championships and the 2001 and 2004 World Mountain Bike Championships.
Each town in the Vail Valley has its own collection of entertainment venues — including movie theaters, dance clubs, bowling alleys, summer farmer’s markets, fairs and festivals.
