Windsor is often referred to as the Point of Advantage. Located nearly the same distance from neighboring Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley, Windsor has the distinct advantage of offering a quiet, tight-knit community while still being near larger “busier” towns and cities.
This particular Point of Advantage provides residents with all of the amenities that the surrounding larger cities have to offer, but with the unique added benefit of “small-town life” that Windsor residents have come to know and enjoy.
With a population that doubled between 1990 and 2000, and will likely double again before 2008, Windsor is one of the fastest growing communities in the state.
Windsor has also experienced exceptional growth in the number of homes built. In 2005 there were more than 8,000 plots of land secured for homes to be built on, and nearly a quarter of those plots already had building permits filed. Several housing developments have been established in Windsor, with several more in the future plans for the thriving community. In short, housing choices have never been so abundant in the small town of Windsor, something that new residents will continue to enjoy for the foreseeable future.
Regardless, Windsor still maintains its small-town quality of life with friendly neighborhoods and a comfortable atmosphere for individuals, families, and retirees.
