Education
Educational excellence is the primary objective of our Plainville Community Schools. The school system employs a highly qualified teaching staff to meet this demand. The Plainville Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Business Education Roundtable and a Career/Trade Expo to promote and strengthen this important bond. G.E. Industrial Systems is the proud sponsor of the Junior Achievement program which is available in grades K through 12. Volunteers from the business community teach programs in business economics and the free enterprise system, preparing the young people of today for the business world of tomorrow.
Plainville also has easy access to many near-by trade/vocational schools, colleges and universities including some of the following:
• Briarwood College (Southington)
• Central Connecticut State University (New Britain)
• New England Technical Institute (New Britain)
• Tunxis Community College (Farmington)
