Worship

Roots of faith and fellowship in Plainville can be traced back to February 27, 1840 when 18 men and women, who formed the Plainville Congregational Society, petitioned the Farmington Church to be set off as a distinct Church on the Great Plain. There are now more than 12 houses of worship located in town, representing most major denominations, that continue to carry on the mission of faith and fellowship fostered by the early settlers. In addition, the Plainville Conference of Churches provides a wonderful opportunity for our local religious leaders to work together for the betterment of the community.
