At only six miles apart, it is understandable that Wallingford and North Haven would have comparable housing. Price-wise, homes are similar and range from very affordable to extravagant. Both towns, and the communities surrounding them, offer residents outstanding amenities, such as excellent healthcare, first-rate educational opportunities, vibrant arts and culture, noteworthy shopping and dining and much more.
In 2007, North Haven held 9,167 existing homes, which accounted for nearly 90 percent of all residences in the area. New construction permits amounted to 16 and 240 home sales occurred. In Wallingford, 68.2 percent of all housing was comprised of existing homes, with a total of 18,184 dwellings. Approximately 141 new construction permits were granted and 381 homes were sold.
