Residents of Mims enjoy the smaller town feel in a rural setting, while having access to the vast larger city amenities of neighboring Titusville.
The community of close to 9,500 is located in northern Brevard County along the Indian River.
Both the Indian River and the St. Johns River provide ideal sites for boating and fishing lovers. Main points of interest within the town is the Harry T. Moore Memorial Park, a site recognizing civil rights leaders Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore, and the Moore Heritage Festival of Arts and Humanities, held in late February.
Port St. John
With its beginnings as a housing development in Brevard County, the community of Port St. John has grown into much more. The last several years have shown a rapid growth in both the residential and economic sectors.
Located between Titusville and Cocoa, Port St. John now boasts more than 20,500 residents, several shopping centers and a strong business environment, which includes the 117,000 square foot high-tech office park of the Gateway Center.
