Community Introduction
Coral Springs is an exceptional place to call home or conduct a business. In the 43 years since the City was officially chartered, Coral Springs has grown from marshy wetlands and bean fields to a vibrant family community.
People move to Coral Springs because of the quality of the schools, beautiful neighborhoods, and the strong sense of community we share. Cultural and recreation opportunities for all ages abound in Coral Springs. Whether you enjoy ice-skating or art, Coral Springs has top-notch facilities.
The City is also known for its progressive business model that makes government responsive to the needs of the community. Annual resident surveys show consistently high satisfaction and quality service. Last year 95% of residents said that the quality of services met or exceeded their expectations and 94.5% said that the service they received was excellent or good.
We are a two-time winner of the Governor’s Sterling Award for Performance Excellence, a very prestigious quality award. Most recently, Money magazine ranked Coral Springs the best place to live in Florida and 27th in the nation. Recreation, safety, excellent schools, and an arts and culture scene all contribute to this recognition.
In 2005, Morgan Quitno Press also named Coral Springs the safest city in Florida
and the 23rd safest city in America.
And the City continues to improve as Downtown Coral Springs is currently being developed around University Drive and Sample Road. This vibrant downtown will attract complementary businesses and create a more pedestrian friendly environment.
These are only some of the ingredients that make Coral Springs the nation’s premier community to live, work and raise a family.
