The unemployment rate is lower than most of the state at 2.9 percent, according to the city’s Strategic Plan 2007-2008. The demand for more businesses is so great that over 50 new office structures are being built all over the city, including One Charter Place built by the Amera Corporation. This 210,000-square-foot complex, complete with parking garage, is just the first of many redevelopments along the corner of University Drive and Sample Road.

Coral Springs continues to receive high marks, including a AAA rating by Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s and Fitch. Property owners love the fact that the millage rate is lower than rates of neighboring cities. Coral Springs was also recognized as one of the 25 safest cities in the United States by Morgan Quinto Press. What was once a small community now boasts almost 130,000 people, and they have everything at their fingertips, including high-end healthcare. There is an organization for everyone in Coral Springs, including Toastmasters, Rotary Club, PTA, MOMs Club, the Garden Club and even the Star Trek club. The city encourages involvement with open attendance to the commission meetings and town hall-type meetings called Slice of the Springs. The mayor, vice mayor and commissioners also make themselves available to the citizenry. In addition, our award-winning local Channel 25 has ongoing city information and broadcasts commission meetings.

Coral Springs is also easily accessible to other urban areas like Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale, including the airport; it simply requires a jump on I-95, the Sawgrass Expressway or the Florida Turnpike.
