North Okaloosa Medical Center (NOMC) is Crestview’s community hospital. NOMC, serving the needs of north Okaloosa and Walton Counties in Florida, is rated one of the nation’s top 50 non-teaching hospitals. It encompasses several specialty departments, centers and programs. The 24-hour Emergency Room, Medical/ Surgical Unit, Pediatric Unit and newly renovated and equipped Labor and Delivery Unit are complemented by an Intensive Care and Progressive Care Units. In addition to the Outpatient Surgery Unit located in the hospital, a surgery center is conveniently situated adjacent to the Medical Office Building. At North Okaloosa Medical Center, modern diagnostic imaging technology includes x-rays, MRS procedures, mammograms, ultrasounds, 16-slice CT scans, bone-density scans and more.

NOMC care starts from the beginning of life with labor and delivery suites and will be with you all the way every time you may need them. NOMC has 110 beds, 65 active and 27 courtesy physicians, and 631 hospital employees.

Fort Walton Beach Medical Center also offers a six-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, a 10-bed Coronary Care Unit, a 13-bed Intensive Care Unit and a 33-private room Progressive Care Unit in addition to its Medical/Surgical Unit, Obstetrics/Women’s Services Unit, Pediatric Unit, Rehabilitation Unit and Psychiatric Unit. Other services include a new outpatient surgery center, state-of-the-art diagnostic MRI and CT scanners, a 22-bed emergency room (open 24 hours daily) and a seven-bed Express Care for minor emergencies (open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily).

Fort Walton Beach Medical Center also operates the Destin Emergency Care Center and Destin Diagnostic Imaging at 996 Airport Road in Destin.
