Arts and Entertainment
The East County Regional Library offers more than 126,000 volumes, audio and video materials, and computers for public use. There are cultural programs for adults and reading programs for children as well.
The Lehigh Acres Senior Center is a year-round beehive of activity. There are games, educational classes and visiting performers. The Center also provides seminars and lectures from experts, covering many aspects of Florida life.
Another popular source of entertainment is the annual Lehigh Acres Spring Festival. This event has always included a parade and carnival midway, with food, games and rides.
The Barbara Mann Performing Arts Center in Fort Myers produces Broadway Shows, and is the home to the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. Fort Myers also hosts a dinner theater and a first class repertory theater.
