Located at the mouth of the Steinhatchee River, Steinhatchee is one of Taylor County’s unique communities. It is a picturesque fishing village long known for its great river fishing and scalloping. Steinhatchee is also a hunter’s paradise with its abundance of deer, duck, turkey, quail, bear and wild boar.
