Whether you are making a quick run to the grocery store or looking for a unique gift, South Lake County has an array of shopping.

From antique stores to boutiques and specialty shops to large chain stores, the area has just about every sort of store imaginable. With the area’s population rising, new stores are constantly entering the market.

The county offers quaint shops with unique gifts and apparel and proudly owned and operated family-run businesses known for providing that seldom found personal touch. Plus, there are many smaller strip centers that offer florists, real estate agents, hair salons, day spas, financial planners, lawyers, locksmiths, and more.

Major grocery store chains include Publix, Winn Dixie, and Kash ‘n Karry, which serve as anchors for an assortment of smaller stores and service-oriented businesses. Ethnic grocery stores offer hard-to-find items and a tempting array of ethnic culinary products.

South Lake County is home to two Wal-Mart Super Centers, one in Clermont, one in the Four Corners area, as well as a Super Target, a Kmart, a Belk and a Kohl’s department stores. Plaza Collina, a high-end shopping plaza of a million-plus square feet, is planned for the eastern side of Clermont.

There are also several larger shopping malls in nearby communities such as West Oaks Mall in Ocoee and Lake Square Mall in Leesburg. The short drive to Orlando means it’s also possible to take advantage of all the shopping and entertainment a big city has to offer.

Dining
From upscale establishments to quaint eateries or a place to drive-through for a quick burger, the county has every type of restaurant a diner could want.

Some establishments offer just the right elegant ambience for a romantic dinner; while others provide the immaculate setting and courteous service sure to impress a business customer or client. The county also has a large number of casual restaurants geared toward families, and where children are welcome.

Popular national chains have a place in South Lake as do ethnic establishments that offer tastes and cuisines from around the world.

Banquet facilities are available for special occasions and parties. In addition, caterers provide delicious meals for those who would rather have someone else do the cooking when they entertain at home or in a local hall.
