The South Lake Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that is guided by a 17-member Board of Directors. The Chamber’s area of service encompasses roughly 400 square miles and includes the member cities of Clermont, Groveland, Mascotte, Minneola and Montverde and the unincorporated area of the south end of Lake County.
The Chamber serves to unite the varied businesses in South Lake County to reach a common goal… to improve the economic environment for its members, and enhance the quality of life for its residents.
The Clermont Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1922, absorbing the existing Board of Trade, which — since its inception in 1895 — had been instrumental in guiding the development of the City of Clermont. In 1995, the Clermont-Minneola and Groveland-Mascotte Chambers consolidated to form the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, creating a cooperative spirit among the area’s cities and unincorporated area to enhance business, culture, and nurture the quality of life in the entire South Lake area.
Today, the Chamber is over 800 members strong and offers numerous programs and services. Committed members volunteer their time and talent to sit on committees, organize community events, influence government, oversee Chamber programs and services and identify future growth opportunities.
For new and existing business, the South Lake County Chamber is a valuable and dependable resource for business referrals. The Chamber office is located in Jenkins Auditorium in historic downtown Clermont.
