

Residents of Sun City Center can find just about everything they need right in town, and what’s not in town is never too far away.
Dozens of retail outlets throughout the community, like those found in the Sun City Center Plaza, offer area residents the convenience of nearby banks, clothing stores, financial planning offices, grocery stores, healthcare products, realtors, insurance agents, floral shops and gift stores. Directly across Route 301 from King’s Crossing Shopping Center is the new 208,000-square-foot Walmart Supercenter.
Nearby towns offer an abundance of shopping opportunities for Sun City Center residents. The Sun Point Shopping Center is five minutes away in Ruskin, and the Apollo Beach Plaza in Apollo Beach is approximately 20 minutes away. Of course, Tampa has a wealth of shopping and is within a half-hour drive.

Dining is always a memorable experience in Sun City Center, thanks to the variety of restaurants and eateries, such as Danny Boys’, Denny’s, Beef O’Brady’s, Copper Penny, Java Cow Ice Cream Café, Ozzie’s, Subway, Pizza Hut, China Chen Restaurant, China Wok, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Old Castle Tavern, Sun City Café, Bob Evans, Sonny’s BBQ, Game Stop and Hungry Howie’s. There are also a number of other fine dining establishments and national chains in and around Sun City Center.
Fine lodgings are available for visitors to the Sun City Center area, including the Sun City Center Comfort Inn and the Day’s Inn of Sun City Center. Remodeled in 2001, the Holiday Inn Express features an outdoor pool, conference room and business center.

The Resort at Little Harbor is also nearby. Located on the shores of Old Tampa Bay, the low-rise complex is nestled on an island between Tampa Bay and the semitropical wetlands. It offers boating, fishing and rental accommodations. There is quick accessibility to the Prime Outlet Ellenton Mall and the Westfield Shoppingtown in Brandon.
In addition to numerous hotel and motel accommodations, the Sun City Center area is conveniently located within a short commute to a number of fine bed and breakfast facilities. The historic Mansion House Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of St. Petersburg’s arts and entertainment district. The Southern Comfort Bed and Breakfast, on Ravine Drive West, is nestled between the Little Manatee River and Old Tampa Bay, and it offers first-class accommodations — including packages for golf, tennis and adventure.
