The West Orange Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to West Orange County! We invite you to enjoy our community whether you are a visitor, newcomer, business prospect or resident.
Our location, natural beauty, tropical climate and small-town atmosphere offer a unique venue for your home, family or business. Please take the time to discover West Orange County for yourself and see why thousands of people call this area home, and why West Orange businesses thrive in the Central Florida area.
The West Orange community boasts a variety of distinct identities, each of which make the area a unique place to live, vacation and do business. Our ever-expanding urban centers offer all of the advantages of transacting business in a big city without the congestion, confusion and common problems found in major cities. West Orange still holds the advantages of the small-town community where the hardware store owner calls you by name and the local mayor visits your home on any given day. The cities of Ocoee, Winter Garden and the towns of Windermere and Oakland, the rural settlements of Gotha and Lake Avalon, the communities of Dr. Phillips, Horizon West and MetroWest, Orlo Vista and Pine Hills all offer a wide variety of living styles while maintaining their own unique characteristics.
Oakland is a community “nestled among the oaks” on the border of Lake County. The town strives to hold fast the quality of life its residents have enjoyed since the incorporation of the town in 1887.

Ocoee boasts that they are the “center of good living” in the West Orange area with their colorful history and their innovative future. Projects such as building new schools and parks place Ocoee on track for being the center of many things that are good about West Orange County.
Windermere is the center for “luxury living and small-town charm” in West Orange County. With gated communities such as Keene’s Pointe and Isleworth just outside of town limits, Windermere has some of the most luxurious homes, golf courses and lakes in the tri-county area.
Beautiful Winter Garden is rapidly moving into the next century, with improvements in transportation, city services and population, while maintaining its reputation as a pleasant place to live, grow and work. Winter Garden has recreated a thriving downtown with brick paved streets.
The rural settlement of Gotha is tucked between Windermere and Ocoee. It is evident that once you enter this community you will be charmed by its natural splendor and the historical preservation. Dr. Phillips is a community that has experienced explosive growth in the last 30 years and continues to maintain its exceptional quality of life.
MetroWest was envisioned as a place not only to hang your hat, but as a place to enjoy living. Incredible attention was given to providing a comfortable place to live, with beautiful palm trees, crepe myrtles and flowers in the medians and landscape buffers.
Located in southwest Orange County, Horizon West is a new community designed using principles of Garden Cities and New Urbanism to create self-sustaining, mixed-use villages.
The Lake Avalon Rural Settlement features residential properties that have densities that vary from one residence per acre, one residence per two acres, and one residence per five acres.
Orlo Vista’s Spanish interpretation is “View of Orlando.” The area is a dynamic, culturally diverse community made up of hard working individuals and families.
Pine Hills is a community of many neighborhoods housing an ethnically and occupationally diverse population.
Living up to our reputation of “Preserving Our Past… Building to the Future,” the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, along with the West Orange community, embraces our past and protects our history through programs and organizations such as the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation, Ocoee Founders’ Day, the Oakland Nature Preserve and Friends of Lake Apopka. Our area also boasts the world’s second largest auto auction, Manheim Orlando, Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World, Hard Rock Café Corporate Headquarters and many other worldwide companies which help make up the foundation of our business community and provide careers for our residents.
On behalf of the West Orange area businesses and community members, we invite you to come and discover West Orange County. Be a part of our future and journey through our historic past. If you’re looking for a place with the future in mind and a small-town atmosphere, West Orange is the community for you. Once you have become a member of our community, you will find that you may never wish to leave, and we welcome you to stay. In addition, we hope that you will support the many merchants and businesses that you will find in this publication.
